IRISH JOKE OF THE MONTH
Muldoon lived alone in the Irish countryside with only a pet dog for company. One day the dog died, and Muldoon went to the parish priest and asked, Father, me dog is dead. Could ya' be saying' A mass for the poor creature?' Father Patrick replied, 'I'm afraid not; we cannot have services for an animal in the church. But there are some Baptists down the lane, and there's no tellin' what they believe. Maybe they'll do something for the creature.' Muldoon said, 'I'll go right away Father. Do ya' think €5,000 is enough to donate to them for the service?' Father Patrick exclaimed, 'Sweet Mary and Joseph. Why didn't ya tell me the dog was Catholic?’

THE MONKS OF GLENSTAL ABBEY DVD – THE SPIRTUAL ROAD
This unique DVD will allow you to visit Glenstal Abbey and get an insight into the daily work and worship of the monks living there. The early days of the monastery are also brought vividly to life with the inclusion in the DVD of very rare film shot in the early 1950’s which hasn’t been seen for over 50 years.
KILMORE QUAY AND THE SALTEE ISLANDS
Kilmore Quay has a reputation as an angling centre that goes back over a century. Species of fish available include bass, cod, shark, tope, ling, mackrel, bream, pollock, skate and whiting. It also offers the keen diver a fabulous location for diving as the area from Hook Head to Carnesore Point has long been known as the graveyard of a thousand ships.

CURRACLOE BEACH, CO WEXFORD
Curracloe Beach is located 10km north east of Wexford town and approximately 1km west of the village of Curracloe, County Wexford.
Curracloe's white sandy beach stretches from Raven Point to Ballyconigar near Blackwater. It is a particularly safe area for bathing, however please help by observing the 'life guard on duty' signs when bathing.
THE HOOK LIGHTHOUSE AND VISITOR CENTRE
Hook Lighthouse in County Wexford has been voted the number one lighthouse in the world and is an enduringly popular attraction in south east Ireland. Described by Lonely Planet Guide as a “little plump lighthouse, the granddaddy of all lighthouses", it has been marking the entrance to Waterford Harbour for at least 2,000 years.
THE HOOK PENINSULA AND LOFTUS HALL
No Trip to Wexford would be complete without visiting Loftus Hall. Local stories and legends are much discussed locally and beyond as Loftus Hall seems to be the ‘most haunted house in Ireland’.
JOHNSTOWN CASTLE GARDENS
Johnstown Castle Gardens, near Wexford Town, are lush ornamental gardens that adorn the castle estate, a popular destination for walks and picnics. The grounds feature a wide variety of trees and shrubs, representing the best aspects of a formal and wild garden.
JFK MEMORIAL PARK & ARBORETUM
The John F. Kennedy Memorial Park is a memorial dedicated to the memory of U.S President John F. Kennedy, located near New Ross in County Wexford. The memorial visitor centre houses exhibitions and an audiovisual show.
TINTERN ABBEY
Tintern Abbey is located near New Ross in County Wexford, an evocative piece of Irish monastic history. The abbey takes its name from Tintern in Wales and was founded by the Earl of Pembroke founded Tintern Abbey in about 1200.
