Easter in Ireland is celebrated in much the same way as in most western countries, with Easter Holidays, Easter Eggs and even a visit from the Easter Bunny to Ireland.
Easter takes its name from the pagan goddess of spring 'Eostre' and many of the traditional Easter icons were originally Anglo Saxon fertility symbols, before being transported to the United States.

Reginald’s Tower is Waterford’s landmark monument and Ireland’s oldest civic building. It has been in continuous use for over 800 years. The first tower on the site was built by Vikings after 914 and formed the apex of the triangular settlement.
